Dear Crafters
Lifestyle Market is back, happening at House of Seafood. It is busier and tastier than ever!
We started in a small restaurant located at 180 Yio Chu Kang Road. Our Founder, Dato Francis Ng, saw elderlies picking up cardboards by the roads to earn a living. He passed them money, but the elderlies rejected his kind gestures. Thus, he decided to come up with a seafood restaurant in order to provide job opportunities for elderlies as restaurant waiters and waitresses did not require any minimum qualifications in order to work here!
Just nice, his good friend, Chef was looking for a job. Back then, the chef told him he only knew how to cook black pepper crabs – but its ok! Because that’s all he cooks till today.
A customer walked in and ordered our signature Black Pepper Crab. We served her as how we had served others. After eating, the customer requested to meet our chef. She said she really enjoyed the fare and she was very impressed with the flavours and freshness of ingredients used.
The next day, our restaurant was featured on Lian He Zao Bao and apparently the customer was a female reporter! That night, the whole restaurant was packed with people! Business was so good that we had to even borrow chairs from the restaurants next doors. The queues were getting longer and longer by the day, with many waiting for an hour or more to get a seat. That night, we were not prepared for the overwhelming crowds and there were so many orders misplaced – business was way too good for us to handle. Immediately after we closed our business that night, it was still business for me.
Business was TOO GOOD – we had to shift many times – because of parking issues and neighbouring complaints! We apologize for the changing locations and we thank YOU for your support despite the changes! Now, we are happily settled in our 2 humble nests: Punggol and Clark Quay.
Over the years, House of Seafood strives to bring the best to all customers. We hope House of Seafood will continue to be a household name to every family for fresh, fun, food and fellowship.
This restaurant is known of their pet friendliness, welcoming for our furry & puffy friends.
